CUBAN REVOLUTION LEADERS:
Fidel Castro was the leader of the Cuban Revolution. He was born on August 13, 1926 in Biran Cuba. Castro began a campaign of guerrilla warfare to overthrow the Cuban dictator Fulgencio Batista after his coup to win the election for Cuban president. Castro was the leader of Cuba from 1959 to 2008 with his communist party. Fidel Died November 25, 2016.
Che Guevara was a important leader in the Cuban Revolution. He was born in 1928 in Rosario Argentina. Before joining Castro's cause, Che studied medicine. He traveled Latin America, where he saw terrible living conditions and he was also looking for a way to strike a blow against American Imperialism which led to him joining Fidel Castro's cause. Che met Fidel and his brother Raul on 1945 in Mexico. Che was a military leader and a guerrilla warrior and helped strategize and train. Che is the most recognizable from the Cuban Revolution. Che died in 1967 in Bolivia, due to execution while aiding a revolution.

Rual Castro was Fidel Castro's Brother and second in command. He was born June 3, 1931 in Biran, Cuba. He played many prominent roles in overthrowing Fulgencio Batista's regime, like training troops, recruiting and strategizing. He took over Fidel's presidency in 2008 because Fidel had become too old and sick to continue. He is currently serving as Cuba's president.
Camilo Cienfuegos was born in 1936. As a teenager, Camilo started joining in on protests of government policies. As the situation in Cuba became more dire, he became more and more involved in the fight against Fulgencio Batista regime. In 1955, he was struck in the leg by a bullet from one of Batista's soldiers. For Cienfuegos, that moment was the one in which he decided that he would try to free Cuba from the Batista regime. He joined Fidel Castro on 1945 in Mexico. Camilo led his own squadron of guerrilla warriors and strategized and trained troops. Camilo was presumed dead after he and his plane went missing while flying from Camaguey to Havana.
